IMROSKA – the Romanian clothing brand that explores fashion from the perspective of psychology and spirituality

There are clothes that simply dress you, and clothes that tell a story about who you are. Sometimes, about who you truly are — behind the masks, beyond conventions. And when the designer understands not just the cut, but also the psychology of the wearer, fashion can become a space for reflection. That’s how IMROSKA was born — the brand founded by Roxana Ostroveanu, a designer with 15 years of experience on major international runways and a psychotherapist trained in working with the contemporary woman.

One year after launching the brand, IMROSKA presents a manifesto collection: AWAKEN. This is not your typical seasonal collection, but rather an exercise in presence, an invitation to self-ownership and conscious clothing choices. AWAKEN doesn’t just speak to the wardrobe — it speaks to a way of being: awake, connected, honest.

“Every morning we are a blank canvas. Through clothing, we paint the story of the day — and of ourselves.”
— Roxana Ostroveanu

The collection began with a personal journey: a workshop in Stockholm with Dr. Bruce Lipton, the biologist who popularized the concept of spiritual epigenetics. From that experience, Roxana built a vision where science, aesthetics, and ritual meet. Every piece in AWAKEN is a symbol of that search. The zippers are adorned with a silver star crafted by a jeweler from the Romanian Patriarchy, inspired by sacred geometry: two intersecting pyramids, representing the balance between material and spiritual life.

The fabrics were chosen years ago, but they only came to life now. Creative timing, Roxana says, cannot be rushed. “I kept them for years. These were textiles used by Chanel, Oscar de la Renta. They felt inaccessible — creatively and financially. And then one day, I felt ready.”

IMROSKA, therefore, is not about seasonal collections. It’s about a feminine community where vulnerability is welcomed, and authenticity is a core value — not just a slogan. In Roxana’s studio in Bucharest, time flows differently. Here, conversations aren’t only about tailoring, but about emotions, moods, and stillness. It all begins with a memory: Roxana’s grandfather, the village tailor, sewing on an old machine surrounded by the smell of sheepskin. “I used to sit on his sewing machine while he continued working. It was a ritual. Today I do the same thing, but on a different canvas.”

The AWAKEN collection, says Roxana Ostroveanu, is a subtle response to the rush and noise of the world. A quiet yet firm counter-proposal: to choose our clothes the way we choose our thoughts. Consciously. With care. With love. In a world where femininity is often fragmented between appearance and authenticity, IMROSKA seems to offer wholeness.
